徐明華,浙江岱山人。1999年7月畢業于中國科學院上海有機化學研究所(導師:林國強研究員),獲得理學博士學位;同年8月赴美國,先后在美國弗吉尼亞大學(University of Virginia)化學系和喬治城大學醫學研究中心(Georgetown University Medical Center)從事博士后工作研究。20038月加入中國科學院上海有機化學研究所,2005年入選中國科學院“百人計劃”,7月起任中國科學院上海藥物研究所研究員、課題組長、博士生導師,新藥研究國家重點實驗室研究員。2018年受聘南方科技大學教授。


主要從事有機不對稱合成及手性藥物方面的研究,致力于以一些重要有機分子及藥物分子合成為導向的手性化學和手性技術探索。近年來在新型手性配體和催化劑的設計以及生物活性分子合成和新藥研究等方面取得了一些有較大影響和創新性的研究成果。在J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Acc. Chem. Res., Chem. Comm., Org. Lett.等國內外核心學術期刊上發表論文120余篇,多個工作受到國際國內同行的關注和好評,被美國化學會ACS “Heart Cut” (2),“Noteworthy Chemistry” (2),德國化學評論期刊Synfacts (32),英國Speciality Chemicals Magazine專欄,JACS Spotlights,Organic Chemistry Portal,X-MOL等選為研究亮點報道;10篇論文被選為期刊封面(其中1篇J. Am. Chem. Soc.封面);申請國內外專利24項,授權15項(美國專利2項)。應邀在國際性學術會議、海外知名大學作學術邀請報告100多次。


曾獲中國化學會青年化學獎(2005),首屆藥明康德生命化學研究獎(2007),中國科學院朱李月華優秀教師獎(2012),中科院優秀研究生指導教師(2013),國家杰出青年科學基金(2013),上海市優秀學術帶頭人(2014),中國科學院特聘骨干研究員(2015),前沿有機化學亞洲核心計劃講座獎ACP Lectureship Award(日本3次、韓國、新加坡、泰國、臺灣),以及法國斯特拉斯堡大學邀請教授、日本九州大學“Global 30”計劃“Part-time Lecturer”、臺灣國科會化學促進中心訪問教授、日本北海道大學Hokkaido Summer Institute邀請教授等榮譽。2014年獲上海市自然科學一等獎。2016年獲國家自然科學二等獎(排名第二)。
